Children’s Health Citadel “Virgin of VIDAWASI”
We were born to bring hope of life to the children of Peru; we have built the first Children’s Health Citadel of Latin America, “Virgen de VIDAWASI”, located in the Sacred Valley of the Incas, Cusco.
Social impact
Since our opening in December 2021, we have marked a turning point in the history of children’s health in Peru.
In a country where 90% of specialized pediatric treatments are concentrated in Lima, we have brought essential medical services closer to thousands of children and families, avoiding long and costly journeys.
70% of children with complex diseases seeking care in Lima come from provinces, and many are diagnosed at advanced stages. With the inauguration of our Pediatric High Complexity Surgery Pavilion, we will be able to detect diseases in time and provide timely care.
In Peru, every year, more than 1,800 children are diagnosed with cancer. With our cancer prevention center, we will carry out timely diagnoses for timely care.
Faced with 43.1% of children suffering from anemia in Peru, we promote preventive health programs that allow us to reach more families.
Today, we are consolidated as the most emblematic social work in our country in favor of children’s health with more than 70,000 services provided to Peruvian children and families.
We have created the first Children’s Health Citadel in Peru and Latin America, a unique model that allows us to provide comprehensive care to children and families from the Andes of Peru.
