History of VIDAWASI
Jesús Dongo’s destiny took a momentous turn due to an accident that marked a turning point in his life. In 2010, Jesús and his youngest daughter, aged 5, suffered an accident that left them on the brink of death.
Amidst fear and uncertainty, Jesús clung to God. What science could not explain, faith turned into a miracle: both recovered their lives. In gratitude, they decided to found VIDAWASI, exchanging a tourist hotel proposal for the First Children’s Health Citadel in Latin America; the promise was:
“For my daughter’s life and for my life, I will return thousands of lives to the world. Do not do it for me, I have already lived; do it for those who cry out to you every day and depart in the face of the world’s indifference.”
