VIDAWASI promotes Pilot Plan for the Decentralization of the Fight against Childhood Cancer and the Strengthening of Cancer Care in partnership with INEN

Vidawasi City, Urubamba – Cusco

At the facilities of the Medical College of Peru – Cusco Regional Council, the first inter-institutional meeting was held to launch the Pilot Plan for the Decentralization of the Fight against Childhood Cancer and the Strengthening of Oncological Care, promoted by VIDAWASI PERÚ in alliance with the National Institute of Neoplastic Diseases (INEN).

This important meeting brought together key players in the region’s health sector, including the Antonio Lorena Hospital, the Cusco Regional Hospital, GERESA Cusco, VIDAWASI PERÚ and INEN, who will form the first National Oncology Network outside of Lima. This strategic alliance will reduce waiting times for pediatric cancer patients, ensure timely and accurate diagnoses, strengthen referral and counter-referral processes, and consolidate comprehensive, continuous, and humanized care for children facing cancer.

With this pilot program, VIDAWASI reaffirms its commitment to decentralizing specialized pediatric healthcare, promoting a model based on love, science, and deep respect for the dignity of each child and their family, at every stage of treatment.
