VIDAWASI PERÚ launches its "Social Proposal 2026" in favor of the decentralization of pediatric health in Peru

Vidawasi City, Urubamba – Cusco

On December 16, 2025, VIDAWASI PERÚ launched its 2026 Social Proposal, reaffirming its commitment to decentralizing specialized pediatric care and strengthening national and international health collaboration. The event brought together prominent authorities, representatives from the public and private sectors, and leaders from Cusco society, with the presence and support of the Metropolitan Archbishop of Cusco, Monsignor Richard Daniel Alarcón Urrutia, reaffirming the values, transparency, and foundation of faith that underpin VIDAWASI’s work, expressed in the fulfillment of its social purpose.

During the event, the achievements of 2025 and the strategic vision for 2026 were highlighted. Among the most important projects is the inauguration of the Oncological Health Preventorium, developed together with the National Institute of Neoplastic Diseases (INEN), which marks the beginning of the National Pilot Plan to Decentralize the Fight against Childhood Cancer, as well as the decisive advances in the completion of the High Complexity Pediatric Surgery Pavilion, fundamental to attending to critical cases.

In 2025, it also consolidated international partnerships with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Texas Children’s Hospital and Duke University, strengthening specialized pediatric care and community health.

With this proposal, VIDAWASI PERÚ leads a solidarity-based and decentralized model that seeks to transform pediatric health in the country, fulfilling its mandate: to save lives and unite the world.
